Packing is the part of a move that takes the most time and most often decides whether something gets broken. By combining packing and moving in Wrocław in a single job, you hand the whole process over to us: from the first box in the kitchen to putting everything in place in your new flat. How we pack different items
Kitchen
We stand plates upright like records, each one wrapped in paper. Glasses and wine glasses go into boxes with dividers, and any empty space is filled with scrunched-up paper so nothing shifts in the vehicle.
Electronics
TVs and monitors go in bubble wrap, ideally in their original boxes if you still have them. We coil the cables and put them in a bag labelled with the name of the device.
Wardrobe
Clothes on hangers can travel in wardrobe boxes, so after unpacking they go straight back into the wardrobe, with no ironing needed.
Books and documents
Small boxes only. A large box full of books is too heavy to carry safely down the stairs and tears easily.
Pictures and mirrors
Cardboard corner protectors, bubble wrap, and standing them on edge between mattresses or upholstered furniture.
Cabinets and chests of drawers
Light drawers stay in the furniture and are wrapped in stretch film; heavy ones are taken out and transported separately.
How a day with packing works
- For a flat with several rooms, we pack the day before or on the morning of the move – depending on the volume.
- We start with rarely used items: the cellar, top cupboards, decorations.
- We pack the kitchen and bathroom last, so you can use them for as long as possible.
- Every box is labelled with its room and a short note on its contents.
- At the new property, the boxes go straight to the right rooms.
- On request, we unpack selected rooms and take away the empty boxes.
What we don't pack
It is best to keep ID documents, cash, jewellery, medicines and keys with you. We also don't transport flammable materials, gas cylinders or open chemicals. Everything else – from porcelain to the contents of your tool cabinet – the crew will pack.
Partial packing
You don't have to order packing for the whole home. A popular solution is for us to pack the kitchen and fragile items, while you pack the rest yourself in boxes we deliver beforehand. Packing and moving – questions
How long does it take the crew to pack a flat?
It depends mainly on the number of small items, not on the floor area. A flat with full kitchen cupboards and a large bookcase takes longer to pack than a bigger one that is sparsely furnished. We estimate the time when preparing the quote.
Do I need to be there during packing?
It helps if you are there at the start to show us what stays and what goes. After that, you can get on with your own things.
Are the boxes included in the price?
Packing materials are charged together with the packing service. They appear as a separate item in the quote.
Will you pack things in wardrobes without taking them out?
Light items in chest of drawers can stay if the furniture is solid. We always empty wardrobes before disassembly, because otherwise they cannot be taken apart safely.
What if something breaks in a box you packed?
We are responsible for items packed by our crew under the contract and our liability insurance. With boxes you pack yourself, it is harder to establish the cause of the damage.
