Moving in Dzierżoniów
Dzierżoniów lies at the foot of the Owl Mountains, about 60 kilometres south-west of Wrocław. Together with Bielawą and Pieszyce, it forms a compact urban area that for decades lived off the textile and electronics industries – the famous Diora radios were made here. Today, factories operate in a sub-zone of the special economic zone. We handle moving in Dzierżoniów for residents of the whole district, both locally and to Wrocław and beyond.
Getting there from Wrocław
Most often we take national road no. 8 towards Kłodzko and turn west towards Dzierżoniów. The whole journey takes about an hour. The alternative is to go via Sobótka or Świdnica – we choose it when we collect belongings from two addresses, or when a customer is moving to Bielawą or Pieszyce, which lie closer to the mountains.
Three towns, different conditions
Dzierżoniów
A market square with a town hall and tenement buildings, surrounded by prefabricated blocks and older workers' housing. New houses are going up in nearby villages such as Owiesno.
Bielawą
A town stretched along a valley, with former factory buildings and estates of blocks of flats. In the upper part, the streets already climb towards the mountains.
Pieszyce and the villages below the Owl Mountains
Houses on slopes, narrow roads and, in winter, snow that lingers longer than in Wrocław. This is where we check access most carefully.
Old factory and workers' buildings
Some flats in Dzierżoniów and Bielawą are in buildings next to former textile mills – with high ceilings, thick walls and stairwells designed long before anyone thought of chain-store furniture. Corner sofas and sliding wardrobes rarely go through in one piece. Taking the furniture apart is usually enough, but there are times when it is better to take it out through a wide window. We agree on such things when preparing the quote.
Relocating businesses in the economic zone
Factories in Dzierżoniów and Bielawą often expand or move to a different hall. During office relocations, we move offices, changing rooms and staff facilities, and we label equipment and documents so that after the move every department knows straight away where its things are.

Dzierżoniów and Bielawą – moving without leaving the district
Many of our jobs are short-distance moves: from a block of flats in Bielawą to a house in Pieszyce, or from a tenement in Dzierżoniów to a new estate on the outskirts. In that case, the cost depends mainly on the volume and the carrying involved rather than the mileage, so we encourage you to make an accurate inventory of your belongings.
Dzierżoniów – frequently asked questions
How long does a move from Dzierżoniów to Wrocław take?
