Moving in Psie Pole, Wrocław
North-east Wrocław has something of the suburbs about it. Beyond the Oder and the Widawą rivers, you find streets of detached houses, green estates and former villages that have gradually become part of the city. Crossing the rivers
Psie Pole is separated from the centre by the Oder and its canals, so every move from this part of the city to the south or west of Wrocław means crossing bridges. That is exactly where the longest tailbacks build up at rush hour – along the Warsaw Bridges, on Sienkiewicza Street and on Zmigrodzka Street. Villas in Karłowice and Różanka
The old houses of Karłowice have their own charm, but also their limitations: wooden stairs between floors, low ceilings in the attics and doors narrower than in new buildings. Heavy solid wood furniture, sideboards and pianos need a larger crew here and careful handling on the stairs. We protect the banisters, because they are what most often suffers when things are carried in. If there is an instrument in the house, it is best to mention it straight away.
