Moving in Warsaw
Every year, a great many people move between Wrocław and the capital – for a new job, to study, to be near family, or back again when the Warsaw pace no longer suits them. Warsaw–Wrocław moves are one of the routes 4RELO serves most often. We move people in both directions, as well as from Warsaw to other cities and abroad.
The route: the S8 expressway via Sieradz and Piotrków
The S8 expressway runs all the way from Wrocław to Warsaw: via Oleśnica, Kępno, Sieradz and Piotrków Trybunalski, then on through Rawa Mazowiecką and Mszczonów to Janki just outside Warsaw. That is about 350 km. A car covers it in under four hours; a loaded vehicle needs longer, and on top of that we add the driver's breaks and the drive into the city, which at rush hour can take as long as a hundred kilometres of motorway.
That is why, for a move to Warsaw, we usually load in Wrocław the day before and start unloading in the morning, before the main arteries along the Vistula grind to a halt. In the other direction, we plan it the other way round: loading in Warsaw before midday and leaving before the afternoon rush.

The paid parking zone covers Warsaw's central districts, and outside many tenement buildings there is nowhere to park a large vehicle. If we have to carry furniture a hundred metres, the job takes hours longer. We will advise you on how to reserve a stretch of the street in advance or arrange courtyard access with the building management.

Very often, a customer hands back the keys to their Wrocław flat a few days before collecting their new home from a Warsaw developer. In that case, we take your belongings on moving-out day, keep them in our warehouse in Wrocław and deliver them to the capital once the flat is ready. You don't have to pay an extra month's rent just so your furniture has somewhere to stand.
Office relocation between Warsaw and Wrocław
Many companies have their head office in Warsaw and a branch in Wrocław, or the other way round. We move workstations, archives and IT equipment, and when a company changes premises we work over the weekend so the team can start the week in the new office. Moving in Warsaw – frequently asked questions
Can a move from Wrocław to Warsaw be done in one day?
For a studio flat with a lift at both ends, it is sometimes possible. We plan larger flats over two days: loading and the drive, then unloading and assembly the next morning.
Who arranges a parking space outside a tenement building in Warsaw?
Formalities at the Warsaw address are usually handled by the customer or the building manager, as they are in contact with the local administration. We will tell you how many metres of street we need and for what hours.
Do you move people from Warsaw to cities other than Wrocław?
Yes. The vehicle sets off from our base in Wrocław, and the route can run from Warsaw to, for example, Gdańsk, Kraków or Germany.
Can you move furniture out of a 10th-floor flat in Ursynów?
Yes. We check the lift dimensions in advance – large wardrobes and corner sofas often have to be taken apart to fit.
Does Warsaw have a clean transport zone?
Yes, the capital has introduced such a zone. When planning the journey, we check its current rules for the delivery address.
