The builders' merchant delivers the goods on a pallet and leaves them outside the block. On the pallet are dozens of bags of adhesive, packs of flooring panels and sheets of plasterboard, and the renovation crew starts work tomorrow morning. Building materials carrying in Wrocław is work that finishing tradespeople usually don't want to do themselves: it costs them a day, and on the stairs it's easy to get injured or damage the stairwell. We take it on – we carry the materials up to your floor and stack them where they won't get in the way of the renovation.

A pallet outside the block – how it works in practice
The merchant's driver unloads the materials with the lorry's crane or a pallet truck and doesn't carry them into the building. It's best if we are there straight after delivery: plasterboard and bags of cement shouldn't get wet, and a pallet on the pavement gets in the neighbours' way and attracts the attention of the municipal wardens. If you give us the delivery date and the driver's number, we'll time our arrival so that the materials are off the street within a few hours.
A lift is not a storeroom
In blocks with a lift, it's tempting to fill it to the brim with bags. But every lift has a rated load shown in the car, and overloading can stop it between floors and put it out of action for some time. We load the car well within its limit, and for large deliveries it's worth warning the management or neighbours that the lift will be busy for a while. Some housing cooperatives and residents' associations have their own rules on transporting renovation materials – it's a good idea to check them.
A house under construction and a tenement under renovation
A tenement with no lift
The materials go up the stairs, often to the third or fourth floor. We plan for more people and split the load into smaller batches so as not to overload the steps or the crew.
A new housing estate
There is usually a lift, but it may be protected for residents, and the underground car park has a height restriction. We agree which way to bring the materials in.
A detached house
Materials have to be carried from the driveway to the attic or cellar, sometimes up stairs without a banister. Here safety and care on unfinished steps are what count.
The stairwell after carrying
Bags of cement and adhesive give off dust, and wet shoes leave marks on every step. Damaged plaster on a stairwell turn is a common cause of disputes with neighbours and the property manager. That is why we carry materials wearing gloves, watch the edges of boards on the turns and clean the stairwell when the work is finished. During a renovation, the reverse is useful too: we carry out old doors, a removed bath or worn panels, and take packaging and waste to places where it can be legally accepted – we agree the details when quoting.

Will you bring the materials from the builders' merchant?
Yes, if the load fits in our vehicle and doesn't need a crane. Heavy pallets of bricks or blocks are best ordered with the merchant's delivery, with the carrying left to us.
How do you price carrying?
Based on the list of materials, their weight and dimensions, the floor and whether there is a lift. A photo of the merchant's order specification is enough for a quote.
Do you carry plasterboard up to a house attic?
Yes. We ask beforehand about the width of the stairs and the loft opening, because long sheets can't always be carried up without being cut.
Will you carry out rubble and old bathroom fittings?
We carry out old doors, baths and worn panels. Removal of rubble and construction waste is agreed individually when quoting, as it depends on the amount and type.
Can you come early in the morning, before the renovation crew?
Yes, we agree the time in advance, bearing in mind quiet hours and the rules of the residents' association.
