Moving in Złotoryja
Złotoryja prides itself on being the oldest town in Poland – it was granted town rights in 1211 and owed its wealth to panning for gold in the Kaczawą river. Today it's a quiet town on the edge of the Kaczawskie Foothills, with the extinct Wilcza Góra volcano close by and buildings spread across the hills. So we plan moving in Złotoryja with the lie of the land and the route through Legnica in mind.
The route: the A4 to Legnica, then local roads
From Wrocław we take the A4 motorway towards Legnica, and then the road towards Złotoryja. The whole route is about 90 kilometres and usually takes an hour and a quarter. After leaving the motorway the pace drops, as the road passes through villages and gentle hills. For a flat move, it's still a one-day job if we start loading before midday.
A town on the hills
Złotoryja sits on hills above the Kaczawą, and some of the streets leading to the market square are steep and narrow. In the tenements on the square and in the side streets, we find narrow stairwells and doors that furniture will only go through once dismantled. Housing estates are simpler, but blocks without lifts need a bigger crew. Houses in the villages of the Kaczawskie Foothills, on the other hand, often stand on slopes with long driveways.
Before the move
We establish access to the building, the width of the stairwell and where to park. We deliver boxes and tape if you're packing yourself.
On moving day
We protect floors and stairs, dismantle furniture, pack glass and electronics, and load the vehicle, strapping everything down.
At the destination
We carry your belongings into the rooms you specify, reassemble the furniture and take away the used packaging.
We also pass through Złotoryja on moves towards Jelenia Góra and the Karkonosze Mountains, as the town lies on one of the roads into the Sudetes. If you're moving to the mountains, the last stretch of the route will be winding and demanding, so we arrange the load so that nothing shifts on the bends, and fragile items travel in a separate, well-packed section of the cargo area. In summer, also bear in mind the tourists arriving for the gold panning championships – the centre can get crowded on those days.
Złotoryja – Wrocław, Legnica, Jelenia Góra
From Złotoryja we most often move families to Wrocław and Legnica, where it's easier to find work. But there are more and more moves in the opposite direction: buying a house in the Kaczawskie Foothills, close to the trails and the quiet, and away from the bustle of the city. For customers like these, storage comes in handy – the old flat has to be handed back, while the house is still waiting to be renovated.
What affects the cost of a move from Złotoryja
- the volume of belongings and the size of vehicle we need to send,
- the floor, the lack of a lift and access to the entrance on a steep street,
- the number of pieces of furniture to dismantle and reassemble,
- packing, warehouse storage and removal of unwanted items,
- the distance to the new address.
You can check the volume with our volume calculator. We give you the price before work begins, and confirm the job with a contract and a VAT invoice. The belongings we transport are protected by third-party liability insurance up to PLN 500,000.
