Moving in Opole

Opole is almost a neighbour for us – from our base in Wrocław, we get there along the A4 motorway in about an hour. This means we plan Opole–Wrocław moves like local moves: the crew packs in the morning, unloads at midday and assembles the furniture in the afternoon. For smaller flats, one day is more than enough.

A short route, more options

Less than 100 km of motorway means we can do two runs on the same day. This is handy for houses with lots of belongings, or when some furniture is going to a flat in Opole and some to our warehouse in Wrocław. It is just as easy to organise a move in stages: boxes first, then the furniture a few days later, once the renovation at the new property is finished.

Opole districts and what they require

AreaHousingWhat we pay attention to
City centre and Old Towntenement buildings, narrow streets by the Market Squarepaid parking zone, restricted access
Zaodrzeblocks and pre-war tenements across the Oderbridges at rush hour, no lifts in older buildings
Armii Krajowej, Chabry, Malinkaprefabricated housing estatesparking between blocks, small lifts
Kolonia Gosławicka, Grudzicenew estates and housesunderground car parks with low entrances
Incorporated villages, e.g. Czarnowąsy, Krzanowicedetached houseslonger drives, but plenty of space outside the property

In June, during the festival at the Millennium Amphitheatre, the area around Pasieka Island can get congested. If you are moving in the centre at that time, we will plan the unloading time to avoid the heaviest traffic.

For flats around Krakowska Street and the Market Square, the vehicle usually can't get right up to the gateway, as some streets are pedestrian zones. In that case, we agree the nearest unloading point and add an extra person for carrying.

From the Opole region to Germany

The Opole region has exceptionally strong ties with Germany. Many families have relatives there, dual citizenship and jobs, so a move from Opole to Bavaria or the Rhineland is a common job for us. We travel to Germany regularly and run our own warehouse in Frankfurt am Main, where your belongings can wait until you get the keys to your new home. See how it works: Frankfurt am Main warehouse and international moving.

Who moves between Opole and Wrocław

Students of the University of Opole and the Opole University of Technology who move to a bigger city after graduating. Couples who work in Wrocław but buy a cheaper flat in Opole and commute by train. Companies relocating an office or warehouse between regions. Each of these jobs looks different, which is why we start the quote with questions, not a price list.

The standard you get

A contract and VAT invoice, carrier's liability insurance of up to PLN 500,000, our own vehicles and FEDEMAC membership. You can work out the volume of your belongings yourself with our volume calculator.

Questions about moving in Opole

Is a Wrocław–Opole move priced as a long-distance move?

The distance is short, so the cost of the drive makes up only a small part of the price. It depends most on the volume of belongings, the floors and the scope of the crew's work.

Can you move my belongings in two stages?

Yes. Over this distance, a move in stages is simple – boxes first, furniture later, or some belongings to our warehouse.

Do you cover Brzeg, Nysa and Krapkowice?

Yes, the whole Opole region. Brzeg is actually on the route from Wrocław.

I'm moving from Opole to Germany. Do I need customs documents?

No, there is no customs clearance within the European Union. However, remember to register your address in Germany and re-register your car.

How early should I book a date?

Ideally two weeks in advance. On such a short route, we can often find an available vehicle within a few days, too.
