Moving in Słupsk

Słupsk is one of the furthest towns from Wrocław that we travel to in Poland. Even so, moves between Słupsk and Wrocław come up regularly: some people relocate to central Pomerania, others return to Lower Silesia. 4RELO plans each trip door to door, without transferring your things to another vehicle and without stopovers at other companies’ depots.

Over 500 km – how to plan it

Słupsk is about 520 km away. We drive via Poznań and Piła, and on the final stretch take the S6 expressway from the Koszalin side. The journey takes 6–6.5 hours, so the move always involves at least two working days for the crew. We do not try to cut corners: after six hours at the wheel, nobody should be carrying a wardrobe up to the fourth floor. We start unloading in the morning, with a well-rested team.

  1. Day one: packing, furniture disassembly and loading in Wrocław or Słupsk.
  2. Evening or morning: the drive via Poznań and Pomerania.
  3. Day two: unloading, carrying in, furniture reassembly and removal of the boxes.

Słupsk: tenements by the Słupia and prefab estates

The centre of Słupsk is made up of pre-war tenement buildings along the river and around the Old Market Square, often with high ceilings and no lifts. To the north and east lie the Niepodległości, Westerplatte and Zatorze estates, built in the 1970s and 1980s. The newest housing is going up on the outskirts, including near the border with Kobylnica municipality, where families are building detached houses. The very centre has a paid parking zone, so it is worth arranging a parking spot in advance.

LocationWhat makes it different when moving
Śródmieście by the Słupiahigh floors in tenement buildings, steep stairwells, limited parking
Niepodległości estate, Zatorzeblocks with no lifts or small lifts, many two-room flats
Ustkahouses and apartments in a holiday resort, heavy traffic in summer
Redzikowo, Kobylnica, Siemianicenew houses on the edge of town, wide plots

Who books a move to Słupsk

An important group are military families – there is a military base in Redzikowo near Słupsk, and personnel move between units in different parts of Poland. There are also more and more remote workers choosing a quieter life eighteen kilometres from the beach in Ustka. On the other hand, young people from Słupsk leave for university and work in big cities, including Wrocław, and after a year or two they take the rest of their belongings with them.

Wind and rain during unloading

In Pomerania the weather changes quickly. We wrap upholstered furniture and mattresses in film as soon as they are loaded, and give boxes with documents and electronics extra protection. That way, unloading in the rain does not put your things at risk of getting wet.

Słupsk – frequently asked questions

Why does a move from Wrocław to Słupsk take two days?

Because the drive alone is over six hours. Unloading after a journey like that would be dangerous for the crew and for the furniture, so we start the next morning.

Do you move belongings to Ustka during the holiday season?

Yes, but in summer we schedule unloading for the early hours, before the streets fill up with tourists.

Do you handle moves for military families to Redzikowo?

Yes. We can also issue an invoice that meets the requirements if the cost is reimbursed by the employer.

Can I move just some of my furniture?

Yes. For smaller loads on this route we arrange the date flexibly, which helps to keep the cost down.
