Moving in Jawor

Jawor is a small town with a big name. The Church of Peace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, draws tourists, while the Mercedes-Benz engine plant and other factories attract workers from all over Poland and abroad. As a result, plenty of people move in and out of Jawor, often because of a new job. We handle moving in Jawor for these families, for residents of the old town and for businesses opening or relocating here.

The A4 motorway and a few kilometres of local roads

It's about 70 kilometres from Wrocław to Jawor. We cover most of the way on the A4 motorway, and after the exit there's a short local stretch into town. The drive usually takes about an hour. The motorway makes things predictable: it's easier to agree a specific unloading time, which matters when you're collecting keys from the developer or a kitchen fitter is already waiting at the new flat.

Moves related to work

Moving to Jawor for work looks different from an ordinary change of flat. The date is usually set by the start of your contract, and the new place is often temporary at first. So we offer two options: moving just the essentials to get you started and storing the rest in our warehouse, or one complete move on a day that suits your schedule. Families arriving from Germany or other countries are handled as part of our international moving service.

For employers

If your company is covering the cost of relocating an employee, we'll issue the VAT invoice to the company and agree the scope of the move with the HR department. We also move offices, warehouses and plant equipment – more in our office relocation section.

From Jawor to Wrocław, Legnica and beyond

Being close to Legnica, Strzegom and Bolków means that many moves are short routes within the region. In that case, the price is mainly decided by the volume of belongings and access to the properties. When moving to Wrocław or further across the country, the whole load travels in one vehicle, with no reloading along the way. You can work out the approximate volume with our volume calculator.

  • eleven vehicles of our own, with no random subcontractors,
  • a contract, a VAT invoice and third-party liability insurance up to PLN 500,000,
  • warehouses in Wrocław and Frankfurt am Main,
  • FEDEMAC membership and regular trips to Germany.

When planning a move into the old town, bear the tourists in mind. The Church of Peace receives plenty of tour groups, especially in summer and at weekends, so near the historic centre it's better to book a weekday and an early start – it's easier to find a spot for the vehicle and carry things in without a rush.

Jawor – questions from customers

Usually yes, although in summer and at the end of the month dates get booked up faster. The sooner you get in touch, the more dates you have to choose from.

Can my employer pay for the move?

Yes, we can issue the VAT invoice to the company. We agree the scope of work before the job.

I'm moving from Germany to Jawor. Do you handle that?

Yes, we travel to and from Germany regularly. Your belongings can also wait in our warehouse in Frankfurt am Main.

How long does a move from Jawor to Wrocław take?

The drive along the A4 motorway takes about an hour, so we move a flat in one day.
