Man and van Wrocław
You've bought a washing machine, but the shop can't deliver it for another week. You want to take a dozen or so boxes to your parents' in Psie Pole, or collect a bike, tyres and toolboxes from the garage. It isn't a house move, but a car won't do either. Man and van Wrocław from 4RELO means a van with a driver who doesn't just drive, but helps carry the load out and in. You book by phone, tell us what needs moving, and we agree a time.
What customers most often call us about
Appliances from the shop
A washing machine, dishwasher, oven or TV collected straight from the collection point. We carry it into your flat and put it where it will be installed – we leave the connecting up to the installer.
Boxes and suitcases
Things to be stored with family, the contents of a child's room when they leave for university, documents from home to the office. A dozen or so boxes is a typical man-and-van load.
Garage, balcony, allotment
Garden furniture for the winter, bikes, a lawnmower, a barbecue or toolboxes. We move them between your home, allotment and garage unit.
How to book a man and van in Wrocław
On a short job, most time is lost on things nobody mentioned beforehand. That is why we ask for a few details straight away on the phone. The more precisely you give them, the easier it is to choose the right vehicle and estimate how long the job will take.
- What we're moving – a list of items, plus dimensions and approximate weight for large appliances.
- From where to where – exact addresses, and for a shop collection the order number and the collection point's opening hours.
- Floors and lift – at both ends, because the drive across Wrocław is often the shorter part of the job.
- Whether you need help – just transport, or also carrying in, bringing things up from the cellar or down from a mezzanine.
- Access – a gate with a code, a barrier on the estate, a paid parking zone or no vehicle access to the courtyard.
What affects the cost of a job
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Size of the load | it decides which vehicle from our fleet we send |
| Distance and time of day | driving through the centre at rush hour takes longer than the same trip in the evening |
| Carrying | a washing machine up to the fourth floor with no lift is a different job from unloading on the ground floor |
| Waiting time | a queue at the shop's collection point or a late seller makes the job longer |
| An extra stop | collection from two places, e.g. a cabinet from one shop and a mattress from another |
We give you the price before setting off, based on your description. If it turns out on site that the load is much bigger than ordered, we tell you before we start loading, not when it's time to pay.
Appliances in a man and van – things to remember
A new washing machine should travel with the drum transit bolts fitted, which come supplied with it – don't throw them away before transport. A used washing machine must be disconnected and drained before the trip. A fridge is best transported upright, and once in place you should wait a few hours before switching it on, following the manufacturer's instructions. We make sure appliances are strapped down in the van and not standing next to loose boxes.
When a man and van isn't enough
If your list grows to a whole room with furniture, a bed and a wardrobe, it's better to plan a home move with a crew and furniture disassembly from the outset. If you're not sure how much there is, check the volume with our calculator – it will tell you whether one trip will do. And if you'd like to get rid of an old fridge or cabinet at the same time, take a look at our additional services page.
Man and van in Wrocław – questions
Can you come the same day?
If we have a free van and driver, yes. It's safer to call the day before, especially on Fridays and at the end of the month, when the diary fills up fastest.
Will the driver help with carrying?
Yes, if we agree this when you book. For heavy items such as a washing machine or freezer, we send two people – one person can't safely carry them down the stairs.
Do you also go outside Wrocław?
Yes, to the municipalities around Wrocław and further afield. On longer routes, the quote includes the van's journey there and back.
Will I get an invoice?
Yes, we issue a VAT invoice even for a single job – useful, for example, when accounting for equipment bought for a business.
What if an appliance is damaged in transit?
We have third-party liability insurance of PLN 500,000. To avoid any dispute in the event of damage, we inspect the item with you before loading and note any visible existing damage.
One trip, no need to find helpers
Tell us what needs collecting and from where – we'll give you the cost and the time the van will arrive.
