Moving in Gliwice

Driving from Wrocław to Upper Silesia, Gliwice is the first large city in the conurbation we reach. That makes Gliwice–Wrocław moves one of the simplest routes to Silesia logistically: no driving through central Katowice, no traffic jams on the cross-city expressway. We move flats, houses and offices in both directions, and from Gliwice to other cities in Poland and abroad as well.

The Sośnica interchange – where the A4 meets the A1

The A4 motorway leads to Gliwice via Opole, and the exits for the city are just before Poland's largest interchange, where the A4 crosses the A1. That is under 180 km, about two hours' drive. Being close to the motorways means it is just as easy to head north from Gliwice, towards Łódź and Gdańsk, as south – to the Czech Republic. For us, it means a shorter working day and a better chance of finishing the move before evening.

Flats in Gliwice – what to expect

Sikornik is Gliwice's most distinctive estate: the blocks climb up a hill, with steps and ramps running between them, and parking spaces are on only one side of the buildings. For such addresses, we always ask which side the entrance is on and whether the vehicle can get closer than the estate car park.

The University of Technology, technology parks and logistics

Gliwice is home to the Silesian University of Technology, as well as industrial parks and logistics centres along the motorways. So we move both students and graduates who have found work in Wrocław and employees transferred between branches of companies operating in both regions. For businesses, we also relocate offices, laboratories and warehouses – on a schedule that doesn't bring work to a halt. You will find a description of this kind of service on our office relocation page.

What we do on moving day

  1. We arrive at the agreed time and protect the stairwell and floors.
  2. We dismantle large furniture and pack anything the customer didn't have time to pack.
  3. We load the vehicle according to plan, securing items with straps and blankets.
  4. We drive along the A4 and get in touch before arriving at the new address.
  5. We carry in, assemble and position the furniture, and take the packaging away.

Every job is carried out under a contract with a VAT invoice, and the goods we transport are insured. If you want a rough idea of the vehicle you will need, fill in our volume calculator. Anything that won't fit into your new flat straight away can be left in our warehouse in Wrocław.

Moving in Gliwice – questions

How long is the drive from Gliwice to Wrocław?

About two hours on the A4. For that reason, we almost always complete a flat move in a single day.

I live in Sikornik, and my block is on a hill. Does that make things harder?

Sometimes, as the way from the vehicle leads up outdoor steps. Based on a description and a photo of the entrance, we will choose the right number of people so the job doesn't take longer than necessary.

Do you move people from Gliwice to the Czech Republic?

Yes, we run regular trips to the Czech Republic. From Gliwice it is close via the A1 motorway.

Can you move a small office from Gliwice to Wrocław on a Saturday?

Yes, we often plan company moves for the weekend. We agree the packing order and label every workstation.
