Old furniture removal Wrocław
The new kitchen arrives on Thursday, and the old one is still hanging on the wall. The 1980s wall unit doesn't fit the post-renovation plans, and the sofa bed, after years of use, is no good to anyone any more. Old furniture removal in Wrocław is more than taking it somewhere else – it has to be dismantled, carried down the stairs and then taken to a place where it can be legally accepted. We handle the whole journey, from the wall of your flat to the waste collection point.
Council collection or a paid removal
Wrocław collects bulky waste from residents as part of its waste management system, and residents can also take it themselves to a municipal recycling centre (PSZOK). That's a good solution if you have the time, a car and the strength to carry a wardrobe downstairs yourself. Collection rules and dates depend on the property and are worth checking with your property manager or on the city's waste information service. A paid removal is chosen by those who can't wait for a collection date or can't manage to carry the furniture out themselves.

What furniture we remove
Wall units and wardrobes
Heavy, made of chipboard and veneer, often fixed together permanently. We break them down into flat pieces that can be carried safely down the stairwell.
Kitchens
Wall cupboards, base units and worktops. Before dismantling, the kitchen must be disconnected by an installer – gas, water and electricity are outside our scope.
Sofa beds and mattresses
Upholstered furniture is not fit for further use once it has got wet or been damaged. We wrap it in film so it doesn't soil the stairwell.
Beds and bed frames
We take apart frames, storage beds and metal bases, and carry out sprung mattresses whole.
Office furniture
Desks, swivel chairs, filing cabinets. For larger quantities, it's worth arranging removal outside working hours.
Garden furniture
Broken chairs, plastic tables and rotten benches from the terrace or allotment.
Does old furniture have to end up as waste?
Sturdy solid-wood furniture, a grandparent's chest of drawers or armchairs for restoration often find new owners. Before booking a removal, you can list them for free online or ask charities that help families whether they would take a particular piece. We'll deliver it to the address given, and only take to bulky waste what really nobody wants.
Prepare the furniture before removal
- Empty the drawers and cupboards – documents and odds and ends are often left in old furniture.
- Remove mirrors, glass shelves and glazed doors, if you can do so safely.
- Have an installer disconnect the sink, hob and oven in the kitchen.
- Check whether fitted furniture is fixed to the walls in a way that will damage the plaster.
Removing old furniture is easy to combine with delivery of the new – as part of furniture delivery from the showroom or a home move, one vehicle brings, the other takes away.
Old furniture removal – questions
Will you dismantle an old kitchen?
Yes, once the gas, water and electrical connections have been disconnected by an authorised person. We dismantle the cupboards and worktops and carry everything out of the flat.
Where does the removed furniture go?
Furniture nobody wants is taken as bulky waste to places that can legally accept it. We don't leave it by bin stores or in the woods.
Will you remove a single piece of furniture?
Yes, although for a single wardrobe the cost of getting there makes up a bigger part of the price. It's worth adding other items to the removal on the same trip.
Will you take furniture I've already carried downstairs myself?
Yes. In that case the quote only covers loading, transport and disposal, with no carrying on the stairs.
Do you issue an invoice for the removal?
Yes, you'll receive a VAT invoice for every job, including businesses replacing office furniture.
Making room for new furniture?
Send us photos of the old furniture and tell us the floor – we'll quote for dismantling and removal.
