Moving in Radom
Radom is a city many people leave to find work, and one that more and more people are returning to, because flats are cheaper and Warsaw is close. We carry out Radom–Wrocław moves in both directions, as well as from Radom to other parts of Poland. Your belongings travel in one vehicle, with no transfer, with a crew that knows the whole plan for the day.
How long is the drive from Wrocław to Radom
It is about 340 km. Most often we take the S8 expressway towards Warsaw, and beyond Piotrków Trybunalski we head east via Tomaszów Mazowiecki. The drive usually takes 4–4.5 hours. As the S8 is the main freight route between Lower Silesia and Mazovia, it can slow down on Friday afternoons, so we try to schedule moves in this direction for early in the week.
What the work looks like in Radom's districts
| District | Typical property | Notes for the crew |
|---|---|---|
| Ustronie, Gołębiów, Michałów | 1980s block, four or eleven storeys | no lift in the lower blocks, a lift for 4–6 people in the tall ones |
| XV-lecie, Południe | flats in prefabricated blocks | car parks full in the evening, unloading better during the day |
| City centre, around Żeromskiego Street | tenements and houses with courtyards | pedestrian street and one-way lanes, access from the back |
| Wośniki, Kaptur, Wacyn | detached and semi-detached houses | good access, lots of belongings in the garage and attic |
| Neighbouring municipalities, e.g. Jedlińsk, Zakrzew, Jastrzębia | new houses | access roads sometimes unsurfaced |
Why people move to and from Radom
Among our customers, there are quite a few people who worked in Wrocław for several years and are returning to their families. There are also moves in the other direction, most often after graduating or finding a job at a large company. Radom is also growing as a place to live for people commuting to Warsaw – in such cases, we take belongings from Wrocław to a house near Radom rather than to the capital itself.
A few times a year, we also move belongings for people leaving for a longer contract abroad via Warsaw-Radom Airport or via Warsaw. In such cases, some furniture goes to parents in Radom and the rest waits in our warehouse. We agree this split in advance and label boxes in two colours so nothing gets mixed up during unloading. If your house in Radom will be empty for longer, you can also leave your belongings with us and collect them only after you return – we describe the service on our storage page.
Moving a business or workshop
Radom has an industrial tradition and many small businesses – from sewing workshops to metalworking shops. We move machinery, shelving and office equipment, and for larger relocations we prepare a schedule to keep downtime as short as possible. Service description: office relocation.
