Moving in Gorzów Wielkopolski
Gorzów Wielkopolski stretches along the steep side of the Wartą valley, and the difference in height between the riverside boulevard and the estates up the hill is felt every time furniture is carried in. We handle moving in Gorzów Wielkopolski mainly between Gorzów and Wrocław, and from Gorzów towards Berlin and further into Germany. One crew, one vehicle, no transferring your things along the way.
The S3 expressway across the whole Lubusz region
Gorzów is about 280 km from Wrocław. After the A4 motorway to Legnica, it is the S3 expressway all the way, via Lubin, Zieloną Góra, Świebodzin and Międzyrzecz. The drive usually takes 3–3.5 hours and is predictable, as the S3 rarely gets congested. A flat move is completed in one day, and a larger house in a day and a half or two.
Upper and lower Gorzów
Śródmieście lies low, by the Wartą and its boulevards, with tenement buildings and streets where parking is paid. Higher up, on the valley terraces, are the Górczyn, Piaski and Staszica estates – large housing estates, partly without lifts. The streets linking the two parts of town are steep and can be slippery in winter. Across the river lies Zawarcie, with detached housing, and new estates are growing on the outskirts, including around Karnin and Osiedle Europejskie. More and more families are also building in the municipalities of Deszczno, Kłodawa and Santok.
| Area | Type of housing | What we prepare for |
|---|---|---|
| Śródmieście | tenement buildings, many flats on high floors | paid parking, long carries up the stairs |
| Górczyn, Piaski | prefab blocks of flats | no lift in lower buildings, steep access roads |
| Zawarcie | houses and older buildings across the Wartą | crossing the bridge at rush hour |
| Kłodawa, Deszczno, Santok | new detached houses | large floor areas and full garages |
Gorzów, Berlin and Germany
Berlin is just over 130 km from Gorzów. As a result, many residents work in Germany, and some move there permanently. We travel to Germany regularly and run a warehouse in Frankfurt am Main, and there is no customs clearance for moves within the European Union. We will prepare an inventory, advise you on what to remember when registering your address and deliver your furniture to your new home. Read more on the international moving page.
