Furniture transport to Germany

Not every job across the Oder is a move of an entire flat. Often it is a chest of drawers inherited from grandma, a corner sofa bought in a Polish showroom, a table from a carpenter near Wrocław or a kitchen ordered in Poland for a house in Bavaria. Furniture transport to Germany is a service for exactly these situations: a few pieces, well protected, delivered and carried in to the address you give us.

The furniture we move most often

Upholstered furniture

We wrap sofas, corner sofas and armchairs in film and then blankets, so the fabric does not get dirty or rub against the walls of the cargo area. Modular corner sofas are taken apart.

Solid wood furniture

Sideboards, tables and chests of drawers are heavy and scratch easily. We protect the corners with cardboard, layer blankets over the tops and secure the drawers so they do not slide out in transit.

Fitted kitchens and built-in units

We transport fronts, carcasses and worktops straight from the manufacturer. Stone and glass elements travel upright, in racks or crates.

Antiques and family heirlooms

Old veneered furniture does not cope well with changes in humidity. We pack it so the material can breathe, and never leave it overnight in an unheated vehicle.

Furniture from a shop in Poland

We collect your purchase directly from the showroom or the shop’s warehouse. The packages stay in their original packaging, and we can assemble them on site.

Garden equipment and bikes

We add patio furniture, barbecues, bikes and workshop cabinets to the load if it is going to the same address anyway.

How we send a few pieces of furniture rather than a whole flat

With only a few items, there is no point paying for a whole vehicle travelling just for you. We travel to Germany regularly, so your furniture joins a run heading towards your region – Saxony, Berlin, Hesse or Bavaria. If the address is in western Germany, the load can stop briefly at our Frankfurt am Main warehouse and go on to you from there.

Carrying in and assembly on the German side

In old tenement buildings in Germany, stairwells are often narrow and winding, and in new buildings the lifts are small. That is why we ask about the floor, the width of the doors and the dimensions of the furniture when preparing the quote. We dismantle a wardrobe or bed before departure and reassemble it on site, and for sofas we check in advance whether they will fit in one piece. If there is a paid parking zone outside the building, we will advise you on how to reserve a spot for unloading.

Documents and insurance

Furniture moved within the European Union does not require customs declarations. We carry out the job under a contract, with a VAT invoice and carrier’s liability insurance up to PLN 500,000. For new furniture from a shop, keep the proof of purchase – it will come in handy if you ever need to make a complaint to the manufacturer.

Shipping furniture to Germany – questions

Will you move a single piece of furniture to Germany?

Yes. A single item usually travels as part of a regular run, which keeps the cost reasonable.

Can you collect furniture from a shop and deliver it to me in Germany?

Yes. We collect your purchase from the showroom or the shop’s warehouse in Poland, provided the shop releases the goods to a carrier on your authorisation.

Do you assemble the furniture after delivery?

Yes, furniture assembly can be booked together with transport. For fitted kitchens, installation is usually done by the manufacturer, and we deliver the components.

Is the furniture insured in transit?

Yes. It is covered by carrier’s liability insurance up to PLN 500,000, and we check the condition of the furniture with you at unloading.
