Moving in Długołęka

Długołęka municipality borders the north-eastern edge of Wrocław and has long attracted families who want a house with a garden and a commute of just a quarter of an hour or so. Moving in Długołęka is one of our most frequent suburban jobs: from Psie Pole, Soltysowice or Zakrzow to Kiełczów, Wilczyce or Borowa it is literally a few kilometres. We go there in our own vehicles from our base in Wrocław, so it is easy to fit the date around getting your keys.

Kiełczów, Wilczyce, Borowa – every village is different

Kiełczów and Wilczyce are dominated by terraced and semi-detached houses and small multi-family buildings on compact developer estates. The streets are narrow, often one-way, and residents' cars are parked along the kerbs. Here the key is positioning the vehicle well and carrying quickly, before someone wants to get out of their garage. In Borowa, Mirków, Siedlec or Bykow, the housing is more spread out – detached houses on large plots, where carrying furniture down from upstairs and packing the garage takes more time than the drive itself.

Długołęka itself lies on the S8 expressway towards Oleśnica and Warsaw. That is convenient, because we don't have to squeeze through central Wrocław, but it is worth remembering the morning traffic jams where the Eastern Ring Road enters the city – so we plan moves into Wrocław to arrive after the rush hour.

Moving a terraced house, step by step

  1. A conversation about the floor area, the number of floors and the width of the stairs – in terraced houses they are often steep and winding.
  2. Delivery of boxes and wrap a few days before the date, if you are packing yourself.
  3. On moving day, protecting the floors and banisters, and taking wardrobes and beds apart.
  4. Loading, a short drive, unloading and reassembling the furniture at the new address.
  5. Collecting the empty boxes and wrap, so they don't sit in your garage for weeks.

The stairs in terraced houses can hold surprises. A corner sofa or a double wardrobe that the developer carried upstairs before the banister was fitted won't always come back down the same way. We assess this when preparing the quote and, if necessary, suggest taking the furniture apart or carrying it out through the patio window.

Before you call, you can take a look at the volume calculator. A room-by-room list of furniture lets us prepare a quote without a visit – although for houses with a large garage, we are happy to come and see everything on site anyway.

Businesses and workshops in the municipality

Along the S8 and the old national road no. 8 there are plenty of service companies, wholesalers and workshops. For them, we organise office relocation with a schedule that doesn't stop you serving customers, and we pack office equipment and documents in labelled boxes, so that after the move everyone knows straight away where to find their things.

Frequently asked questions – Długołęka

How quickly can you get to Kiełczów or Wilczyce?

They are just over ten kilometres from our base. If a vehicle is free, we can do the job within a few days, but in summer it is worth booking two weeks ahead.

Can you carry furniture up the winding stairs of a terraced house?

Yes, but large pieces often need to be taken apart. We assess this when preparing the quote, so there are no surprises at the turn of the stairs on moving day.

The developer has postponed the handover of my house. What happens to my belongings?

We will take them to our warehouse in Wrocław and deliver them to your house once you get the keys. You pay for the actual storage time.

Do you also cover the smaller villages in the municipality, such as Szczodre or Pasikurowice?

Yes, we go to every village in Długołęka municipality. Where the access roads are narrow, we send a smaller vehicle.

Will I get an invoice and a contract?

Yes – every job is carried out under a contract with a VAT invoice, and the goods we transport are covered by liability insurance of up to PLN 500,000.
