Moving in Zabrze
Zabrze is a city where its mining past is still visible at every turn: mine shafts turned into museums, red-brick miners' housing, wide streets laid out back when the city was called Hindenburg. We carry out Zabrze–Wrocław moves in both directions, and from Zabrze we also move people to other parts of Poland and to Germany and the Czech Republic.
Getting there: the A4, then the A1 or the cross-city expressway
From Wrocław, we take the A4 to Gliwice and then – depending on the district – either the A1 motorway north towards Rokitnica and Mikulczyce, or the Drogową Trasą Średnicowa expressway straight into central Zabrze. In total, that is about 190 km and just over two hours' drive. This distance lets us complete a flat move in one day, even with packing on site.
Miners' housing – beautiful but demanding
The workers' estates in Biskupice, Zandka and Zaborze are brick buildings with wooden stairwells, low ceilings and steep stairs. Flat doors are narrower than in blocks of flats, and corridors are short and winding. Large furniture from modern shops often simply won't go through without being taken apart. That is why, for this type of housing, we ask for a photo of the stairwell and the dimensions of the largest items. Courtyards are often reached through a gateway, so we also check its width and height.
Moving out of your parents' old home
Many of our jobs in Zabrze are moves for older people relocating to their children in Wrocław. We help choose what goes, pack keepsakes and take away furniture that no one wants to keep – all on a single date.
Other parts of the city
Centrum Północ and Centrum Południe
Tenement buildings on Wolności and de Gaulle streets and blocks of flats from the 1960s and 1970s. The centre has a paid parking zone and trams, so we plan to park in side streets.
Helenka, Rokitnica, Mikulczyce
Detached houses and newer estates in the north of the city, close to the A1 motorway. Convenient access, but more to transport from garages and gardens.
Kończyce, Makoszowy, Pawłów
Southern districts with mixed housing: old houses, blocks and new buildings. Narrow estate roads mean the parking spot has to be agreed precisely.
Moves for doctors and medical staff
Zabrze is known across the country for the Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases and its teaching hospitals. Doctors, nurses and researchers often move from here to Wrocław clinics or the other way round. Such moves usually have a firm start date and little free time for preparation – so we offer full packing of the flat by our crew and storage of some belongings in our warehouse if the new home isn't ready yet.

- Measure your largest furniture and the narrowest point in the stairwell.
- Set aside anything to be thrown away – we will take it together with the move.

Can you get a wardrobe into a flat in old miners' housing?
Yes, usually after taking it apart. We check old, solid wardrobes that can't be dismantled from photos in advance, so we don't find out on the day that they won't fit through the door.
Can a move from Zabrze to Wrocław be done in one day?
For a flat – usually yes, as the drive is just over two hours. A house with a garden and full packing may need two days.
Do you move people from Zabrze to Germany?
