You search for “international moving prices” and find the same thing everywhere: “price on request”. We do not want to give you the same answer, so instead of generalities we show you exactly what makes up the price of a move abroad at 4RELO. We do not publish rates, because two loads of the same volume can cost completely different amounts – but after reading this page you will know why, and what you can influence.
What goes into the price of an international move

What you will find in our quote
- The total price, not a per-kilometre rate with surcharges added on the day.
- A list of the services included in the price – from packing to placing the furniture.
- The vehicle size and the number of people in the crew.
- The loading and unloading dates, or the delivery window for a shared run.
- The scope of insurance – carrier’s liability insurance up to PLN 500,000, set out in the contract.
Six ways to pay less
Fewer cubic metres
Sell or give away furniture that is easy to buy at your destination. Every cubic metre less cuts the cost more than any negotiation.
A flexible date
If you can wait a few days, you can join a run that is already going to Germany or the Czech Republic.
Packing yourself
You pack the boxes yourself and leave the furniture and fragile items to us.
Midweek
The end of the month and Saturdays are the busiest. A Tuesday or Wednesday is usually easier to schedule.
Good access
A reserved parking spot outside the building and an available lift shorten the work on both sides of the border.
An accurate inventory
Reliable data in the volume calculator protects you from a vehicle that is too big or from running out of space.
Why we do not list prices in a table
The same three-room move to Dresden and to Zurich differs in kilometres, road tolls, customs clearance and the number of working days. A fixed price list would have to include a margin for the worst case, and every client would pay for that margin. We prefer to quote for your exact route – free of charge and with no obligation. Questions about the cost of an international move
Do you charge for a quote?
No. The quote is free and with no obligation, including when we come to a large house for a pre-move survey.
Can the price go up on moving day?
Only if the scope changes – for example, items not on the inventory turn up, or the new address turns out to have no lift when it was supposed to. We discuss situations like these before continuing the work.
Are road tolls and ferries included?
Yes, the price in our quote includes travel costs, including road tolls and ferries on the route in question.
When do I pay for a move abroad?
The payment terms are set out in the contract. You receive a VAT invoice, which can also be issued to the company covering the relocation costs.
Is a shared run always cheaper?
For small loads, usually yes. For a full house the difference shrinks, because you take up most of the vehicle anyway.
