Moving in Katowice
Katowice is the heart of Poland's largest conurbation and a city that has changed beyond recognition in recent years: office towers by the roundabout, the Culture Zone on the site of a former coal mine, new estates where spoil heaps once stood. For us, Katowice–Wrocław moves are one of the shortest long-distance routes. We handle them in both directions, and from Katowice we also move people to other regions and abroad.
200 km of motorway, one working day
The A4 runs from Wrocław via Opole and Gliwice straight to Katowice – about 200 km and just over two hours' drive. This means that moving a flat in one day is the rule, not the exception. We usually lose the most time not on the motorway but on the way into the centre: the Drogowa Trasa Średnicowa urban expressway and the area around the Ziętek roundabout grind to a halt at rush hour. That is why we plan unloading in Katowice before 3 pm or after 6 pm.

City centre
Tenement buildings on Mariacka, 3 Maja and Stawowa streets and a paid parking zone. Parking by the gateway is difficult, and some streets in the centre are pedestrianised or have restricted access. We agree the place and time for unloading before we arrive.
Koszutka and Tysiąclecie estate
The distinctive “corn cob” tower blocks and long blocks with many entrances. There are lifts, but they are small, and the walk from the car park to the entrance can be considerable. We dismantle wardrobes and corner sofas while still inside the flat.
Nikiszowiec and Giszowiec
Historic mining estates with brick workers' housing. Narrow passages through gateways into courtyards, wooden stairwells and lots of visitors at weekends – it is better to plan the move for a working day.
Ligota, Brynów, Kostuchna
The south of the city has detached houses, villas and new estates next to the woods. Access is easier, but there are more belongings in garages and cellars.
Office relocation in Katowice
The business district around Chorzowska and Sokolska streets is home to many business services centres and tech companies that also have offices in Wrocław. When moving a department between these cities, keeping downtime short is what counts. We pack workstations on Friday afternoon, drive them over in the evening and set everything up at the new location on Saturday. Katowice and the rest of Upper Silesia
For residents, the boundaries between Katowice, Chorzów, Siemianowice and Mysłowice are almost invisible. If you are moving from one city in the conurbation to Wrocław and collecting some belongings from a second address – for example, from your parents' house in Ruda Śląska – we will combine it into a single run. For a typical flat, yes. We only plan two days for large houses, full packing or very difficult carrying in.
I live in a “corn cob” tower in Tysiąclecie. What will you ask me?
The floor, the lift dimensions and whether the lift in the building can be booked for the move. The dimensions of your largest furniture will also help.
Can you move an office at the weekend?
Yes. We most often carry out company relocations on Friday evening and Saturday, so that the team is already working in the new place on Monday.
Can you collect belongings from two cities in the conurbation?
Yes, we combine an additional address in Chorzów, Sosnowiec or Ruda Śląska with the main loading.
Do you move people from Katowice to the Czech Republic?
Yes, we travel to the Czech Republic regularly, as we do to Germany.
