Moving to Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt am Main is the only city abroad where 4RELO has its own warehouse. So moving to Frankfurt am Main does not end with the lorry arriving from Wrocław – on the German side we have a base from which we serve the whole Rhine-Main region. That gives you flexibility that is missing when moving to cities where the carrier has nothing but the delivery address.

What a local warehouse changes

Delivery on any day

Belongings brought from Poland can wait in the warehouse and go to your flat exactly when you collect your keys – even if that changes at the last minute.

Moving in in stages

First a few boxes to temporary accommodation, the rest later to your permanent home. We make the follow-up deliveries from Frankfurt, with no second run from Wrocław.

Temporary accommodation

Many companies pay for their employees’ first months in a furnished apartment. Your own furniture can stay with us during that time rather than in an expensive storage facility.

Moves around the region

From the warehouse we also handle moves within Germany, for example from Frankfurt to Munich or from Wiesbaden to Cologne.

The warehouse is located at the junction of the A3, A5 and A66 motorways. Details and storage terms are described on the Frankfurt am Main warehouse page.

The route from Wrocław and delivery time

From Wrocław we take the A4 motorway via Jędrzychowice, Dresden, Chemnitz and Erfurt as far as the Kirchheim junction, where we turn onto the A7 and then head south on the A5 to Frankfurt. That is just under 800 kilometres, about nine hours by van. Loads travel regularly between Wrocław and Frankfurt, so even a small move does not wait long for free space in a vehicle.

Who moves to Frankfurt

The city lives on finance: the headquarters of the European Central Bank, the stock exchange, banks and consultancies draw specialists from all over Europe. Then there is the airport, one of the continent’s largest transfer hubs, and the people who work there. Relocations like these are often paid for by the employer, and the move has to fit the contract start date. In that case, we settle directly with the company – more on the employee relocation page.

Moving to Frankfurt am Main – questions

Can I store my belongings in Frankfurt before I find a flat?

Yes, that is what our warehouse there is for. You pay for the storage time and the space used, and you book the delivery once you know the address.

Is there a low-emission zone in Frankfurt?

Yes, it covers a large part of the city. Vehicles with a green sticker may enter, which we take into account when choosing the vehicle.

Do you handle moves from Frankfurt to Poland?

Yes, in both directions. Loads returning to Poland often join the regular runs from the warehouse to Wrocław.

Can I visit the warehouse to take something out?

Access to stored belongings is arranged in advance by phone – we will then get your load ready for inspection or partial release.

Frankfurt, Wiesbaden or Darmstadt?

Give us the town and your contract date – we will suggest delivery straight to your flat or storage in our warehouse.
