How we prepare furniture for storage
Items that will be stored for weeks or months are packed differently from a one-day move. What matters is protection against dust, warping and being crushed by neighbouring loads.

Inventory and access
On collection, we draw up an inventory of the furniture and boxes handed over. That way you know exactly what is in the warehouse, and when everything is returned it is easy to check that nothing is missing. If you need a particular item while it is in storage – say, winter clothes from box number twelve – we will arrange for it to be released or delivered. So it is worth labelling your boxes more precisely than “miscellaneous” from the start.
Before putting things into longer-term storage, it is worth sorting through them. Storing furniture that won't fit into your new flat anyway is a cost with no benefit – it is better to have it taken away straight away or sell it before the date.

How long can I leave furniture in storage?
From a few days to many months. We charge for the actual storage time, so collecting early doesn't mean paying for a period you haven't used.
Do I have to bring the furniture to the warehouse myself?
No. We collect it from your address and deliver it back whenever you like.
Can I store just some of my belongings?
Yes. Customers often put the furniture from one room into storage during a renovation and leave the rest at home.
What can't be stored?
Food, flammable materials, chemicals, animals and plants. Documents and particularly valuable items are best kept with you.
Will I get confirmation of what I handed over?
Yes – on collection, we draw up an inventory of the furniture and boxes handed over.
