Moving in Piła

Piła is the largest town in northern Greater Poland, surrounded by forests and cut through by the Gwdą valley. We carry out moves between Piła and Wrocław in both directions, as well as from Piła to Poznań, to Pomerania and across the western border. From Wrocław to Piła: about three hours

The route is about 250 km. We take the S5 expressway to Poznań, then head north on the S11 via Oborniki and Chodzież. The drive usually takes 2.5–3 hours, depending on traffic on the Poznań ring road. That distance allows a flat to be moved within one working day. For a house with a garage and garden, we plan for a longer day or unloading the following morning.

Piła in practice

After wartime destruction, the centre of Piła was largely rebuilt as housing estates, so there are few historic tenement buildings here. The largest estates are Górne, Staszica, Koszyce and Młodych. The buildings usually have four or five storeys, often with no lift, so the floor is one of the main factors in the quote. Podlasie, Motylewo, Zamość and Jadwiżyn are mostly detached houses with good access. New estates are also going up on the edge of town, towards Kaczory and Szydłowo.

The area around Piła is largely forest and lakes, for example around Płotki and Kaliniec. Houses there stand on gravel roads, and after rain the verges turn soft. That is why we ask for a photo of the road and the spot where the vehicle can park before we arrive. If a heavy vehicle could get stuck, we come with a smaller one or carry your things from a hard-surfaced area. In town, it is worth remembering the level crossings – for some addresses on the other side of the tracks, a closed barrier can add a few minutes to the journey.
