Moving in Kielce

Kielce lies in the middle of the Holy Cross Mountains, and few cities in Poland have as many uphill streets. Moving in Kielce with 4RELO mainly means trips between the regional capital and Wrocław, as well as moves from Kielce to other cities and abroad. The job is handled by one crew, which travels with your belongings from door to door.

A Wrocław–Kielce move: a longer route and a well-planned day

The two cities are about 320 km apart. We take the A4 motorway to Katowice, then continue via Jędrzejów and the S7 expressway to Kielce. The drive takes 4–4.5 hours, so for a two-room flat the realistic plan is loading by midday and unloading in the early evening. We spread larger houses over two days: on the first we pack and load, and on the second morning we are in Kielce, carrying in the furniture without rushing.

Kielce's hillside estates

The Świętokrzyskie, Na Stoku, Barwinek and Pod Telegrafem estates were built on slopes. There are outdoor steps between the blocks, and the vehicle can't always park right by the entrance, which means more carrying. In the city centre, on Sienkiewicza Street and around the Market Square, there are access restrictions, and an unloading spot has to be found in advance. Districts of detached houses, such as Białogon, Dyminy and Słowik, have large plots and easy access, but lots of belongings in garages and cellars.

In winter, there is one more thing to consider: icy driveways on estates higher up, such as in Ślichowice. For moves between December and February, we call the day before to ask whether the access road has been cleared of snow and, if necessary, move the unloading time.
