Moving in Lublin

Lublin and Wrocław are at opposite ends of the country, but they are also two major academic centres, and people move between them more often than you might think. We plan Lublin–Wrocław moves as a two-day job, with a clearly set loading day and delivery day. We serve both ends of the route, and from Lublin we also move people to Warsaw, Kraków and abroad.

Via Piotrków and Radom – about 470 km

The shortest route follows the S8 expressway to Piotrków Trybunalski, then the S12 via Tomaszów Mazowiecki, Radom and Puławy to Lublin. Work is ongoing or has recently been carried out on parts of the route between Piotrków and Radom, so we sometimes take a detour via Warsaw and the S17 – longer, but predictable. Either way, it is a full day's drive for a loaded vehicle, plus mandatory breaks.

A two-day moving plan

  1. Beforehand – we agree the list of belongings and deliver boxes, and if necessary you book the lift and a parking space at both addresses.
  2. Day 1 – packing fragile items, dismantling furniture, loading and setting off.
  3. Day 2 – unloading from the morning, carrying in, assembling wardrobes and beds, taking away the film and boxes.
  4. Optional – storage in our Wrocław warehouse if your new flat isn't ready yet.

On such a long route, securing the load is especially important. We wrap furniture in blankets and film, strap it to the sides of the vehicle, and TVs and monitors travel upright in their original or special packaging. On arrival, nothing has to be rearranged, because nothing has shifted on the way.

Lublin addresses from the crew's point of view

AreaCharacterWhat we watch out for
Old Towntenement buildings on a hill, cobbled streetsrestricted access, steep approaches, narrow gateways
City centre, Krakowskie Przedmieścietenements and post-war buildingspaid parking zone, pedestrian street
LSM, Czuby, Rurycooperative housing estatesfour-storey buildings with no lift, crowded car parks
Czechów, Kalinowszczyznablocks and high-rises from the 1970s–1980ssmall lifts, long walks
Węglin, Szerokie, Felinnew estates and housesbarriers, underground car parks, lift booking

Lublin's Old Town lies on a hill, and many tenement buildings are entered from steep lanes where a lorry cannot go. For such addresses, we plan a larger crew and more working time. On the estates of the Lublin Housing Cooperative it is usually easier to find space for the vehicle, but in the low blocks everything has to be carried down the stairs.

For students, doctors and university staff

Lublin has several universities and large teaching hospitals, so moves are often linked to a new career stage: a residency in another city, a job after a PhD, a new position at a Wrocław company. We help fit the date around your start date, and for companies paying for an employee's move we issue a VAT invoice. We write more about such jobs on our office relocation page. You can work out your belongings with our volume calculator.

Moving in Lublin – questions

Can a move from Lublin to Wrocław take just one day?

With a very small load and favourable conditions, sometimes yes, but as standard we plan two days. That way, furniture assembly doesn't happen at night.

Where does the crew stay overnight?

We arrange that ourselves. The loaded vehicle is parked in a secure place, and unloading starts at the agreed time.

The flat is in the Old Town. Can you get a vehicle there?

It depends on the street. We often park at the edge of the zone and move belongings on dollies. We agree the exact plan based on photos and a description of the entrance.

Do you move people from Lublin to other countries?

Yes, we carry out international moves, mainly to Germany and other European Union countries.
