Moving in Zielona Góra
Zielona Góra is a town of vineyards, a university and new housing estates on the hills. We handle moving in Zielona Góra mainly on the route to and from Wrocław, and also from Zielona Góra to Germany, which is very close from here. The 4RELO crew comes from our base at Zabrodzie 27 and stays with the job from the first box to the last reassembled wardrobe.
The S3 from Wrocław – two hours on the road
Zielona Góra is about 170 km away. We take the A4 motorway to Legnica, then the S3 expressway north via Lubin and Polkowice. The drive takes roughly two hours. Thanks to the expressway, a flat move can be completed in one day, even if we pack everything on site. For a large house, a second run on the same day is possible.
A town on the hillsides and a huge municipality
Zielona Góra is built on hills, so some streets in the centre and on the estates are steep, and at some blocks of flats the vehicle has to park below the stairwell entrance. The Pomorskie, Zacisze, Piastowskie and Słowackiego estates are prefab blocks, largely without lifts. Since the town merged with the former rural municipality, Zielona Góra also has the vast Nowe Miasto district: Przylep, Ochla, Łężyca, Racula and Zawada. These are mainly detached houses and new estates, some of them over a dozen kilometres from the centre.
The centre and the promenade
Access restrictions apply around the Old Market Square and the pedestrian promenade. We agree an unloading spot and, if needed, add an extra person to carry things.
Estates on the hills
Steep paths and outdoor steps between the blocks. We secure large furniture with straps and carry it with two or three people.
Nowe Miasto
Houses with garages and gardens, easy access but a large volume of belongings. This is where our volume calculator comes in handy most often.
September and the Wine Festival
During the wine festival the centre is crowded and some streets are closed. For addresses in the town centre, we avoid those days.
Who moves to and from Zielona Góra
The University of Zielona Góra attracts students from all over the region, and many of them leave for Wrocław or Poznań after graduating. The town also draws companies that set up plants in its industrial zones, so the number of engineers and production workers is growing. An increasingly common job is a move from Wrocław to a house in the Nowe Miasto district, because for the price of a flat in a big city you can buy a house with a plot here.
Close to Germany
The German border is less than an hour from Zielona Góra, and Berlin is about 2.5 hours away. Many people work abroad or move there. We travel to Germany regularly, have a warehouse in Frankfurt am Main and know the formalities within the European Union, such as registering your address or re-registering your car. Details on the international moving page.
Every move is carried out under a contract, with a VAT invoice and liability insurance up to PLN 500,000.
Zielona Góra – questions
Does a move from Wrocław to Zielona Góra take one day?
Yes, in most cases. Two hours on the S3 means we can finish unloading and reassembly on the same day.
I am moving to Ochla in the Nowe Miasto district. Does the journey increase the price?
Only slightly. A few extra kilometres have little effect on the cost compared with the volume of belongings and the scope of work.
Do you cover Nową Sól, Świebodzin and Sulechów?
Yes, the whole Lubusz region.
Can you move furniture from Zielona Góra to Berlin?
Yes. It is one of the closer destinations abroad, and we travel to Germany regularly.
Do you pack fragile items, such as a wine collection?
Yes. We pack bottles, glass and ceramics in dividers and bubble wrap, and label the boxes as fragile.
