Old Town and Tarninów
Tenement buildings from the turn of the 20th century, high ceilings, wide but steep stairs. Traffic is restricted around the market square and the Piast castle, so we agree a parking spot in advance.
Piekary and Kopernik
Large estates of prefabricated blocks, both four-storey buildings with no lift and tower blocks. The car parks between the blocks can get crowded, so we arrive in the morning, before residents come home from work.
Former military estates
Buildings left behind by Soviet units, now renovated and converted into flats. They often have unusual, long stairwells and high ceilings.
Houses on the outskirts
New estates of detached houses on the edge of the city and in the municipalities of Legnickie Pole, Miłkowice or Kunice.
