Moving in Nowa Ruda

Nowa Ruda is a former mining town between the Owl Mountains and the Włodzickie Hills. The mines no longer operate, but they left their mark on the shape of the town: buildings scattered across the slopes, streets that climb a considerable height in a few hundred metres, and estates some way from the centre. As a result, moving in Nowa Ruda requires different preparation from moves on flat ground – and that's where we start every quote.

The road from Wrocław into the Sudetes

Nowa Ruda is about 95 kilometres from Wrocław. We usually drive via Świdnica and on towards the mountains, or take the Kłodzko route, depending on the address and road conditions. The journey usually takes an hour and a half to two hours, and the final stretch is on winding roads with climbs. That's why we set off for Nowa Ruda early, and for a house move with full packing we book two days from the outset.

Steep streets and sloping driveways

In many parts of the town, the vehicle can't stand level right outside the building. We then park it where furniture can be loaded safely and carry things a little further. Heavier items – fridges, washing machines, oak wardrobes – are carried on straps and on trolleys with brakes. On steep ground, how the load is distributed in the vehicle also matters: the heaviest items go low down and against the cab wall, so nothing shifts on the way downhill.

Who most often moves from Nowa Ruda

Many of our customers from this area are people who left for work in Wrocław or abroad and are now moving their parents closer to them. There are also stories the other way round: buying a house in the Sudetes after years in the city, often for the peace and a garden. Both scenarios have one thing in common – a lot of belongings to sort through. We help clear the house, take away what isn't coming along and pack the rest. The scope of this work is described under additional services.

From Nowa Ruda to Germany and the Czech Republic

The Czech border is close by, and we travel to Germany regularly. If you're moving abroad, we'll take care of packing and transport, and if there is a longer wait for your new home, your belongings can wait in our warehouse in Wrocław or in Frankfurt am Main. Nowa Ruda is made up of several parts spread over the surrounding hills, so the name of the town alone isn't enough in an enquiry. Give us the exact street – access to a house in a district high up differs from pulling up outside a block in the centre, and we choose the size of vehicle and the departure time from Wrocław accordingly.

Nowa Ruda – questions

How long does a move from Nowa Ruda to Wrocław take?

The drive alone is an hour and a half to two hours. We move a flat in one day, and a house with packing usually in two.

Our house is on a very steep street. Is that an obstacle?

No, but it needs a plan. We agree where to park, the number of people and the equipment for moving heavy items.

Will you take away things from the house that we aren't taking?

Yes. Clearing the house can be combined with the move or done separately, before the property is sold.

Do you do moves in winter?

Yes, we allow more time and protect the entrances. If road conditions are bad, we agree a new date together.

We work under a contract, with a VAT invoice and third-party liability insurance up to PLN 500,000. You can request a quote via the form, and prepare your furniture list in our volume calculator.
