The S5: an hour and we are there
Leszno is about 100 km from Wrocław, and almost the entire route is on the S5 expressway via Trzebnica and Rawicz. The drive usually takes an hour and a quarter. Over that distance a flat move takes one day, and for a house we can do two runs on the same day instead of booking a larger vehicle.
Leszno: a compact town with varied housing
The old town, with the town hall in the middle of the Market Square, is surrounded by narrow streets where parking is limited and tenement buildings are entered from the courtyards. The Zatorze, Przylesie and Ogrody estates are blocks of flats with car parks, mostly four storeys high with no lift. In recent years many new detached and terraced houses have been built on the edge of town and in the neighbouring municipalities – Święciechowa, Lipno and Rydzyna.
