Moving in Bolesławiec

Bolesławiec is known above all for its pottery – collectors all over the world recognise the blue polka-dot patterns, the town has working pottery manufactories and it hosts an annual ceramics festival. It lies on the A4 motorway, about 120 kilometres west of Wrocław, and is the last large stop before the German border. We handle moving in Bolesławiec in three directions: to Wrocław, to other parts of Poland and westwards, across the Lusatian Neisse.

Between Wrocław and the border

The drive from Wrocław to Bolesławiec along the A4 takes about an hour and a half. From there it is only a few dozen kilometres to the border crossing near Zgorzelec, and then a straight road to Dresden and Berlin. Because of this location, many moves from Bolesławiec are moves to Germany – people who have worked there for years and decide to settle permanently, or families returning to Poland. With our regular runs to Germany, we can combine such jobs with a route we are driving anyway.

What housing in Bolesławiec looks like

Old Town

A market square with a town hall and restored tenement buildings, narrow streets and limited parking. Large furniture often has to be taken apart, as the stairwells are tight.

Housing estates

Blocks of flats from the 1970s and 1980s, mostly four storeys high with no lift. We work efficiently by splitting the crew into those carrying and those packing.

Houses in the Lower Silesian Forest

The surrounding villages lie among the woods. Plots can be large and access roads sandy – it is worth telling us about this when we prepare the quote.

Moving military families

Bolesławiec is home to a military unit, and serving in the forces means frequent changes of address. Moves for soldiers and their families usually have a fixed deadline – the day they start duty at the new unit. We plan them well in advance, and if the service accommodation at the new location is not ready yet, your belongings can wait in our warehouse. On request, we issue a VAT invoice with a full description of the service, as needed for reimbursement.

Moving to Germany from Bolesławiec

Germany is part of the European Union, so there is no customs clearance when you move. Remember, though, to register your address with the local German authority after you arrive and to re-register your car. We take care of packing, transport and carrying your belongings in, and if your new home is not available straight away, we can store everything in our warehouse in Frankfurt am Main. You can read more about this service in our international moving section.
