Moving with furniture storage – when it pays off

Storing furniture you won't use in your new home anyway is a cost with no benefit. Before putting things away for a longer period, go through them – old furniture is better sold straight away or taken away for disposal. The same goes for items worth less than a few months in a warehouse would cost.

1. Collection from your address and transport to the warehouse.
2. Packing and dismantling, if you book them.
3. Storage – based on the space taken up and the actual storage period.
4. Delivery to your new address, carrying in and reassembling the furniture.

One company instead of two means one less loading and a single point of contact. Your belongings don't pass through strangers' hands, and the crew who packed them knows what is where.

Items that will sit for several weeks or months are packed differently from those on a one-day move. What matters is protection against dust, warping and being crushed by neighbouring loads.

• Wardrobes and shelving units – dismantled into flat panels, fittings in labelled bags.
• Sofas and armchairs – film over the upholstery, nothing stacked on top.
• Mattresses – covers, stored flat or on their side.
• Tables – corner protectors, tabletop stored upright.
• Household appliances – emptied and dried, with fridge doors left ajar.
• Boxes – uniform sizes, with the contents written on two sides.

On collection, we draw up an inventory of the furniture and boxes handed over. That way, you know exactly what's in the warehouse, and on release it's easy to check that everything has come back. If you need a specific item during storage – say, the winter clothes in box number twelve – we'll arrange for it to be released or delivered. That's why it's worth labelling boxes in more detail than “miscellaneous”.

• transport to the warehouse and from the warehouse to your new address,
• packing and dismantling, if you book them.

Our warehouse in Wrocław is located at Zabrodzie 27, close to the ring road and the routes towards Germany and the Czech Republic. We offer short- and long-term storage in monitored spaces, under a storage agreement and with a VAT invoice. The warehouse is open Monday to Friday, 8:00–16:00.

Can I collect a single item during storage?

Yes. Just arrange it with us, and we'll have it ready for collection or deliver it to the address you choose.

Is storage available to businesses too?

Yes, the warehouse serves both private and business customers – for example, during an office move or renovation.
